RJM, without going round in circles any more on this, did you ever format the phone ?

No, I was hoping to find a fix without having to blow everything away and start from scratch.

It's going to be pretty difficult if the phone it's self isn't showing you where the data is hidden. No one here can really tell you either, it will be your quickest and easiest solution mate.

try this: go into your inbox then sort it by TYPE. scroll up to the bottom of the list and it will have all the messages with attachments there, delete the ones you can deal with loosing. i had this problem with mine and it freed up 67 mb. hope it helps

Ok so here's a little more info that I stumbled on. I installed X-plore in hopes that it could help finding what is taking up the space. It is showing me that I have 3.1MB free out of 147MB but if I look at the details of C: it shows that the total size is 18.1MB. I went into the configuration settings and showed all Hidden/System files and folders and all ROM/RAM drives, but yet the numbers still don't add up and I can't see what is taking up all the space. Is there some way to really see all of the files/folders?

You will need to hack your phone to do that. Symbian-freak has a good guide on what you have to do.

Folders like "SYS" will still be hidden to you with an unhacked phone.
