I was expecting this video to be that N95 clone one where they submerged it in a display bath of water. Shocked i've not come across this particular video before now seeing as it was posted in July of this year.

Yes, I agree, the guy must be mad, however, if you look at it from a research point of view, then its informative.

I think he misread the part on the manual that says:

This phone is NOT waterproof!

LOL, when my little girl got a hold of my N95, it proved to be not waterproof (or droolproof)

It may have been informative, but why would you do that? Just a LOT of money down the drain. Interesting that the phone went right up untill he submerged it.

A mate of mine dropped his motorola v3x in the sink by accident, in there for no more then a second and was stuffed. He was silly however to leave the phone on, should of pulled the battery out instantly.

I reckon that if he had of submerged it in water it would have died instantly.

i agree this is good to know... that the phone has a resistance of up to being submerged. it is good to see a phone that can withstand some water and i am happy that i chose the n95 over an iphone... a buddy of mine had an ipod touch got it wet and killed the backlight so i can only imagine how bad the iphone would get if it got wet
