i'm not sure but maybe vambo wants to charge via the standard USB cable connection and that is not possible.

in a nutshell,
charging via phone mini usb connector = no
charging phone via PC/Laptop/USB adapter = yes

Maybe, but it can be charged via USB as that is what he asked about.

Is there a mobile charger available for the N95-1,I remember hearing someone talk about a thingy that could charge the N95 once or even twice on the go

There are several mobile chargers available. I will be writing a review of the Proporta ones, including the Solar charger. Also have another contender from another UK company, which also boasts a whopping 3400mAh battery, same as the Proporta USB Chargers.
