Memory Card issue
Hey,
Whenever I insert my memory card into my N95, or when I restart the phone, I get "Installing" for a long time, and during this process I am unable to do anything. This is because some applications don't get re-installed or something after a firmware upgrade, and I guess the mem card tries to install them everytime. Earlier it wasn't much of an issue, because it only took about 1 minute or so. But now, after I upgraded the firmware once more, it takes a hell lot of time! I wanted to format my memory card to solve this problem, but all my SMSes are stored on it and I don't want to lose them. Are all the messages stored in the Mail2 folder? If I copy that folder somewhere and copy it once again to the same location after formatting the card, will I get all my messages back? Also, is there any particular place where the applications are stored which I can delete to solve this problem? I already deleted most files in F:\Private\10003a3f\import\apps. |

Please search the forums for any related, or previously posted threads asking for the same help, and advice. There are already several threads detailing the issues, and possible fixes for this "Installing upon Start up" issue.
