Oh yea, I think I read somewhere that it would support up to 16gb cards. As someone who has owned both the N95-8gb and the N96, what are your thoughts about the strengths and weaknesses of them as compared to each other? Thanks Mike!

That's only because they are the largest currently available. There is no reason at present to stop 32GB cards working OK as well.

i've had my n95-3 on AT&T for probably 8 months now... and i love it. everything works fine with data and reception, there are just a few things you have to look out for:
a. my text messaging went nuts after about 4 months of use. upgrading my firmware fixed that. b. either get a data plan, or call AT&T and block all data exchange on your line. sometimes accidentally opening a program will incur a small charge as it attempts to connect. everywhere i go has wifi, so i just blocked my data. saves me some $$$ c. at least for AT&T, larger sized images won't be sent as multimedia messages. they'll be charged as emails or something, since the file size is gargantuan. i was charged $55 for 6 images before i negotiated and figured that out. so, some little things, but mostly i've found that the customer service is pretty good about erasing small mistakes, just don't do it too often ![]() good luck! if you have any more AT&T related questions... i think i can help :P |

Thanks alot, jackskacks! Here is something I have been thinking about... The N95 has had numerous firmware updates, so I am assuming that most bugs have been worked out by now. How does the current N95 stack up to the current N96 and N85? The problem I have is that every review that I have read of the N96 and N85 has been from when they both first came out, and I'm assuming that they have had their respective bugs worked out too. So my main question would be: would i regret getting the N95 over the N96 or the N85? The N97 looks like a huge pile of sex, but the North American release is probably a good amount of time away... plus there will be the larger price tag to go along with it. Any thoughts?

I too use my N95-3 on AT&T's network and 3G works great. It was excellent when we finally got upgraded here in Portland, Maine!
I particularly like Nokia's tethering application via the phone. It is spit simple to use and saves me money by not having to pay some other company for hot spot access in airports, etc. This comes with Nokia PC Suite which you will definitely want to install on your PC to support the phone. I bought mine from TigerDirect which is currently showing an N95-3 for $429 but these prices change by the minute as demand fluctuates. Cheers and enjoy your new phone, Fred |

Unfortunately the NAM versions of the N95 (N95-3 and N95-4 (8GB)) are lacking the firmware support available to the generic versions. The latest firmware available for these models is V.20, and the generic models have had another 3 firmware updates since then (V.21, 30 and 31).
