Can I delete entries from the custom dictionary?

The word "are" in mine isn't the default word when you type the three characters in, it defaults to "arf" which is very annoying if you don't spot it!

Can I edit the custom dictionary?

You can teach your dictionary to write 'are' instead 'arf'. When you typing word and then pressing space after word, dictionary remembers how often you use it. Just type 'are ' (with space after word) so many times, until your phone began writing 'are' instead 'arf'. Write this in t9 mode, not in manual. Sorry for my english.

Thanks, but that isn't really what I'm after. I want to edit the actual dictionary.

You can't do this.

You'd need a program to edit the .dat file which holds your saved predicitve text words.

Few threads for you to check out.

This can be done. I use Y-Browser, go to the 'Predic' folder in C drive, then 'open with' Notes and then you can just cruise thru and delete the words you want to. When you find them.
