Which product code should I use to update my firmware?
Which one should I use, in order for it to work properly with Rogers in Canada?
Thanks! Edit: Actually, which one should I use in order to update to a firmware that will work well in Canada... because I will be reverting back to my normal code after I update... right? Last edited by jamieoyeah; 04-24-2009 at 03:27 AM. |

If you use NSU to update, reverting back to your normal code won't alter the risk that you take of voiding your warranty... NSU is a two-way application... When you alter the product code and update using it... Nokia Knows... And records the fact on it's servers, accessible by all Nokia Service-Centres!

So which code should I use, I just tried EURO1 and NSU says that there is no update available.

You'll have to wait for advice on that from someone who knows what firmware pack suits Rogers in Canada... Sorry.

It says something about my provider not approving of the new software... and thats why it wont let me update... stupid Rogers.
Do you think that means its time to get this thing unlocked? |

Unlocking won't help to upgrade the phone, it will merely allow you to use different SIMS in it.
Before doing anything I strongly advise you to get advice from someone in the same situation as yourself who has already done this successfully, upgrading is a one-way path, the phone can't be restored to the original firmware once it's done. Unless you know what you are doing to your phone, you run the risk of 'bricking' it!

There is no EURO product for the N95-4 that you have and using a N95-2 code will not work, as you have alreadty established. Next time use a correct product code for your handset.
