Exit Applications
When I exit an application I expect it is no more running, long press on the menu key confirms this by saying "Standby", so no running apps. When I open Jbak Task Man those apps are still running, be it gallery, log, contacts, etc. As soon as I close the relevant application in Jbak Task Man the RAM goes up by 0,5 - 1 MB, depending what application was running.
Any reasons for this?? |

Certain apps cannot be kill by exiting, it just run in the background. You need a task program to kill it like JBAK Taskman

I was just curious about why I can see some applications still running in Jbak Taskman after I exit them already, so now I understand some still run after I exit them. In order to stop running them I just kill the process using key "C" in Jbak Taskman.
Thanks, and, btw, I agree, Jbak Taskman is a great application! |

This has been the case for a very long time, and really needs addressing imo, more so with the N97, as these processes are taking up valuable RAM resources, sometimes up to 2MB per process, which is a lot of valuable RAM on the N97.

That's exactly the reason why I posted this tread, it eats up quite some RAM.
