N95 8GB Buttons reaction

there r 2 (blue) buttons on the phone (= which u can assign shortcuts to each of them. i have assign the same shortcut to both of them and the left button reacts much slower than the right one. is this a known error or is just my phone like this?

another thing: my phone is really really slow in general, like refreshing the music library takes ages! i done the latest firmware update and it still has not improved at all! is there anything i can do to accelerate my nokia?

Hi mate, i cant really help much but i will say ive never noticed any difference in button delays.

Refreshing my music library does take a minute or so yeah, and im up to date too. But its never really bothered me as i dont put/ listen to much music on my phone anyway

It's been many moons since I last had a N95 but if I am not mistaken the left softkey waits for a couple of seconds to see whether you will not proceed with the key combination for keypad lock, i.e. it is waiting for you to press the "*" key as well and only if you don't it proceeds to perform the assigned function.

Cant say about the keys, but the N95 8GB is slow period. When installing, uninstalling and deleting files the N95 8GB seems as if it has to 'think about it' first...long pause.

slow period? its only slow for me when deleting files, the rest of the time it can almost go as fast as my finger presses
