That's a generic Euro code for the N95-1 and will not work on your handset - because it's a N95-2, not because it's not a UK code.

Use this:

0549487: EURO 1

There are no generic UK codes for the N95.

NSS Error

I've just joined this forum, and all I can tell you is that when I first used NSS, I got exactly the same as you - Error at lower left. However, a simple exercise of careful unplugging resolved it ....
- unplug phone cable
- plug in (and make sure good connection - hold it if necessary, as these cable connectors are weak)
- WAIT for your PC to acknowledge phone presence (the 2 happy Plug & Play beeps)
- I ran PC Suite, and ensured the phone was visible
- I exited PC Suite AND killed all icons in the tray
- I then ran NSS, and the phone appeared when scanned
