How to Get Rid - Windows Live ?

Since installing the Windows Messenger app I am stuck with the Windows Live mailbox in my messaging area. I don't use Hotmail and I want rid but even after uninstalling the Messenger app, this remains.

Anyone know how to remove it?

Do you still have a messenger contacts tab in your Contacts too? If so, try uninstalling Nokia Contacts Services Support Package. I don't know if that's just for the Contacts tab, but worth a try anyways if you haven't already uninstalled it.

I don't think I ever had a contacts tab for messenger contacts? Certainly nothing there now, thanks for the suggestion though.

Any more thoughts, it's driving me insane!

lol, well if there's a way to not use the messenger Contacts tab then I'd like to know about it! Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'll assume you've tried the obvious option of pressing <C> on it? (saying that, on mine it doesn't do anything so maybe not). Shame it doesn't appear under email accounts really.

It may well be that when I had the messenger tab I actually did have the messenger contact tab you speak of, though I never noticed it. After uninstalling messenger perhaps it got rid?

If ONlY it would have got rid of this **** mailbox too!

Well, when it installs the "dependency" when you install Live Messenger, that's what put that tab there. If you uninstall the Nokia Contacts Service Support Package, the tab goes, but Live Messenger won't start. But anyways, let's see if anyone knows how to get rid of that mailbox! I'd like to know too, as I like to go from my inbox to my drafts by pressing left/right to change tab, but there's a hotmail tab that i really have no use for (as I don't have a hotmail account)!
