no this is not the N95 8GB we're talking about it's the N95-3 we are talking about.

The Model Numbers are different. Press *#0000#. The third line is the Model Number. RM-159 is the Model Number for the N95-1.

The N95-2 8GB is the RM-320, the N95-3 US version is the RM-160 and the N95-5, the Chinese version with no wi-fi is the RM-245.

I'm not aware of a N95-4...yet.

here are a few of the differnces from the n95-1 and the n95-3

Nokia has gone out on a limb to launch the unlocked N95-3 today, bringing the all the original N95's goodness back for a second round with a few key changes. Most notably, of course, is the presence of HSDPA on the 850 and 1900MHz bands, but other modifications include a higher-capacity battery, recessed camera lens (sans protective shutter this time around), twice the RAM, and availability in black and "dark sand" (for the rear only the front's always silver).

So is the N95-3 available only in North America? Is there or will there be a European model?

We think the N95-2 8GB model has the following in common with the N95-3 US version:

More Operating System RAM
Bigger battery
No lens cover

And is different:

Has European 3G bands (WCDMA band I) not US 3G (WCDMA Bands II and V)
Has fixed 8GB storage instead of a card slot.

This just sux ... I understand that technology keeps upgrading .. and new models with better functions and maybe looks come out But this is not like that ... this is taking your phone's dissadvantages ...and fixing them ... so its you same mobile execpt its ... "fixed" ...
Thats just unfair .. i really think they should allow us to replace them ... even if we were to pay a lil more
