i had mine unlocked officially be T-mobile shortly after i got it.
To be honest- i didn't fancy going to a mobile shop at the time, the phone was too new and the risk of getting it bricked too high. Only cost me £15 at the time- wouldnt have been much cheaper elsewhere. I recommend you contact your phone network and get the legit codes. |

i know it's hardly related but from an unblocking pov the imei rebranding i've seen a poc on a few handsets not on an n95 though. Imei rebranding is highly ilegal and i in now way endorse it.

I unlocked my N95-1 by downgrading the firmware (to V11)
then connecting Dejans unlock clip to the very very small test points ( a lot of care needed and used needles instead of soldering) (also the published guide for this shows the wires connected the wrong way Grrr) then upgraded the firmware to version 20 very happy. non-network (i.e.not phoning vodaphone/orange etc) unlocking is done through testpoint, this means connecting hardware to very small solder dots in the phone. risky but a lot BB5 unlock equiptment is now available. (I'd suggest professionals/experienced unlockers only). |

I do test point unlocking from time to time and it really is for those that know what they are doing

Yes, exactly - nothing there ! Because there is no remote unlocking of BB5 phones, unless you get the code from your network. I also like their ad about "now unlocking all Vodafone handsets" - big deal, Vodafone do it for everyone now.

i will disagree with your statement AS i got my code generated from a online website, Unlock cell phones - Mobile Phone Unlocking Codes - Network Release and Subsidy Codes - Motorola Unlock Codes, Nokia and More , thatone to be specific...and it WORKED 100%, the gf also did it, and it worked on her phone, both on the uk 3 network to.... |

If they(the website) have purchased the codes from Nokia they will work as they are the same codes as supllied to the networks which are the very same ones that networks like Vodafone supply to you over the phone .
So in theory it will work as long as the website is genuine |
