Flash Lite 3 Developer Edition is now available for download

great News

The he Flash Lite 3 Developer Edition is now available for download from Adobe Labs. This is a standalone player and does not integrate with the browser, wallpaper or screensaver capabilities of Nokia mobile phones. The player is not IMEI locked which means that you can install it on any supported Nokia mobile phones. Developer Edition is now available for download from Adobe Labs. So it does not yet play you tube, but I think this is a hint that the next firmware will have Flash Lite 3 pre-installed and can play you tube .

If anyone interested login to your adobe acount or create one to download

I was actually very excited when I found out this news on my own...

Flash Lite 3 is supposedly the counterpart to Flash 8 files....(Lite1 was 5 and Lite2 was 7)

I had dreams of playing tons of flash games and watching cool flash movies....

Alas, although it installed and plays flash files without a hitch,it seems that it is still heavily restrained by the N-95's RAM.

I was unable to open any flash files over about 2 Megabytes in size....

Which is quite odd, since a 1.8 Mb movie only takes up 8Mb or so of my RAM, according to Handy Taskman

Does this mean that the RAM increases from demand paging doesn't equate with real RAM?

Whatever spare RAM is listed, is the amount of RAM free for any applications to use

Demand paging only means that resources for applications already in use are used and discarded more efficiently to allow extra RAM availibilty

Oh....ok.....but then where'd the extra RAM come from ?

And it still doesn't explain why I'm not able to play flash files larger than 2 Megs (tear)
