I do not believe your N95-2 can be more than 2 years old, which the standard EU warranty period, so unless you have already done something to the phone you should still be covered.
Will check on NSU when its updated itself, and get back to you,
Must be better on a Euro 1 product code than a Vodafone,
Vodafone do not have the best name for branded F/W,
checkout their forums

I am not saying VF branded is better, I only said it's available according to Nokia database for your product code and you should still be under warranty as information for you to consider when making your decision.

Vodafone branded F/W in general, and from what have experienced and read, is not held in very high regard, when i got my N96 from Vodafone it was practically unusable!
Had to hard reset it twice to get working.

OMG I do not believe it!

Vodafone has done a F/W upgrade,
93tid,
i apologise for doubting you mate,
but if you read some of the many bad experiences people have had with Vodafone F/W,
you will understand,
do you know when this was released?
Does not seem to mention it on -
Nokia N95 8gb - Vodafone Approved Software Update - Vodafone eForum

Read the second from bottom post on the page, from one of the long suffering mods

Date of firmware release should come up on your screen when you enter *#0000#.

Clearly Vodafone forums are not always the place for reliable up-to-date information.

My N95 is just over a year old, did not realise that Nokia would not repair under warranty a de-branded phone, what difference is it to them?

Seems like Vodafone's V31 has just been released, maybe in last few days, when did you first notice it?

This has been discussed at great length in the forum, please run a search and catch up.

Couple of examples:

debrand warranty.

Debranding DOES invalidate warranty

I have no idea, I only checked when I came across your post.

Question Update problem

My problem is that I have a nokia N95 8GB. The firmware version is V20.0.016 (28-02-08) and I want to upgrade it to a higher version, because it doesn't work really good..., but the Nokia Software Updater doesn't update. It says that there are no available updates for my phone, and I should try it later. I don't know what the problem is, and I'm angry because it's the only way how I can update.... My product code is 0557135, the firmware version is V20.0.016. I don't have warranty. I need help! What can I do?
(sorry for my english, I'm from Hungary)
