Standby in top left corner of screen ?

When i press and hold down the menu button a box with Standby written in it appears in the top left corner of screen .
Its a blue box with a phone and 2 stars symbols in it.
What does it do ?

It is task manager, it shows you running applications, and lets you close them with c button when they are unresponsive.

When I call someone a box flashes up quickly with '' Note :active diverts '' in it, yet as far as I can see I don't have any diverts on ?
Any ideas ?

Sounds like you do have some sort've divert applied.

As far as I know it will divert incoming calls while you talk.

Maybe if you have voicemail switched on.
To clear all diverts press MENU>TOOLS>PHONE>CALL DIVERT>highlight VOICE CALLS>hit OPTIONS>CANCEL ALL DIVERTS
