Default The Nokia LA Unlocked Event in the Hollywood Hills

Well- I made it out of LA after the Nokia Nseries event in the Hollywood Hills- and what an event it was! Much was learned about the newly released Nseries devices, many friends were made with my fellow members of the blogging community, and a LOT of alcohol was consumed by all parties involved. Although no new devices were released, and information regarding upcoming devices was hard to come by due to skillful dodging of issues by crafty Nokia executives- we did get a closed door Q&A with Nokia's VP of Multimedia in North America, Bill Plummer, and a couple of his colleagues who were able to answer a good number of questions many Nokia users were chomping at the bit for. The most exciting aspect of this event is how apparent it is that Nokia is committing to the North American market for the first time in what seems like a long, long time. It's time for North America to get excited about Nokia. Read more to have a look at what went on at this event- and get a feel for how Nokia is moving forward in North America. Read more...

A 2 MP cam in the N81? There's STILL slider-wobble in the 8GB N95? What the HELL are Nokia playing at?

On the positive side though, it seems that at last it's dawned on them that there IS a North-American market!

Anyway, put Agatha Lulu-Belle Hortense Jablozky back in her cot and crack on with part two... I want to see/hear this interview!!

Hey thanks, bro. It was great meeting you. It's amazing how many people were there- and how many friends and connections I was able to make out there. Connecting people indeed! Glad you stopped by- cheers.

Question Nokia LA Unlocked

Sorry I missed meeting you while you were out here for the party. This was my first Nokia event and I found it quite educational. I like how Nokia is going after both the retailers and the consumers to create a buzz. Over the years I have been to many handset OEM events as well as other Software, Film Studio, Internet Startup events here in Los Angeles and by far this event was one of the best staged. I did not have a chance to check out the room upstairs where the Adobe demo was taking place...can anyone tell me what it was all about.

Really? Just an okay time?

Wow... the Ferrari was no where on my radar as a highlight of the evening- and I consider myself quite a bit of a car guy.

Wow. You guys must be stoked you went to that event. Would have been absolutely awesome. I'd like to say I'm not jealous one little bit, but that would be outrageous, and a complete lie.

It must be kind of like a home-coming for you, well for Nokia, to their new home, North America!

How exciting for you all.
