Angry 6110 Navigator - how to remap nav key?

Being a clumsy sort of person, I often, to my annoyance, accidentally bump my Nokia 6110 Navigator's "navigator key" while doing other things. This causes it to immediately start up the navigator program, run through its introductory graphic, etc etc, while I wait, cursing the stupid thing, for it to finally get to the point where I can hit Skip/Exit/Yes to get rid of it. A few seconds is a long time to wait, when I specifically did not want to activate it.

I would very much prefer to remap the hotkey that brings up the navigator program; it'd be most useful as an "alt-tab" type function to step through running programs, which the phone seems to otherwise lack. But if this is impossible, since the Navigator program is on the menu as an application, I don't need the hotkey at all. So I'll settle for simply disabling it.

Is there a way to do this? A program? A firmware hack? Is there a way I can request it be put into a future firmware update (as I am sure I am not the only clumsy individual who does this)?

Failing that, can I crack the case and cut a wire to do this, without damaging anything else? At this point, I just want it to stop doing that!

Yes, and no.

Example: while writing an email through the web browser app, hit the navigator key. It starts up the navigation program. Hit the hang up key. It interrupts the navigation program, but brings you back to the main screen.

Unless I'm missing some easy way to "alt-tab" back to the web browser, anything done in it seems to be lost.

Sadly, no, you cant. Id really like to as route66 certainly isnt my satnav of choice on that phone.

You can alt tab back, symbians alt tab is done by holding down the key to the left of the nav key. By doing this you'll get a little menu on the top left, and 'Web' will be in there (just tried it).

Standby brings you back to the main screen.

Its worth noting that you dont quit route66 by pressing the red key, its still running, and trying to get a lock. Which will drain your battery very very quickly.
