5500 Sport - battery life

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

I have recently purchased a 5500 sport. The original battery seemed to go flat after 2-3 days of use (I switch the phone off at night so it's on approx 12 hours/day). I replaced the battery with a new one but the battery life has improved to maybe 4-5 days before re-charging. According to the technical specs, it should have a stand by time of 150 hrs – 240 hrs.
Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any advice/suggestions to improve the battery life?

Ideal World:

If you turned off the Bluetooth, had a 5 bar service and did not touch the phone for texting or making calls you would probably get the standy time stated in the hand book.

Ah, we don't live in an ideal world:

If you have Bluetooth on - Constantly searches for things to connect to.

Low service level - Handset has to boost the antenna (using more power) to get a signal.

Software level - This could need updating or even a Battery/Handset recallibration.

All these things and more can affect the battery life of a handset.
