Question 6110 bluetooth audio...help!

Hi there.

My wife and I both have 6110 navigators and both have the same issue. Whenever the phone is paired up to the hands free bluetooth systems in the cars we get full phone call audio but no other audio comes through the bluetooth or the phone. Which is a pain when we want to use the Nav and to get sound we must disconnect from the hands free system to hear the nav.

Is there a setting in the phone we need to change to get audio from all areas of the phone using bluetooth audio connection?

Any help would be appreciated.

What type of set up do you have in the car?
Is it limited itself to only take calls?

Having never connected an audio device over BT, Im shooting in the dark here.

Have you ever had the option of what sort of device it is?

For example, if its headset selected, try changing it to speakers, or whatever the other option is.

Thanks for the reply's guys.

Mcbain, With my old nokia, which I cant remember what it is but it was a slide phone that looks like the 6110 without nav, I was able to play music from my phone on the same bluetooth system and infact, any sound at all played from the phone worked with the bluetooth, which is why I think it is a phone setting.

bartmanekul, that is something I have to try. I would assume that is a setting in the conectivity area under bluetooth. I will try to have a play with that today and see if it works.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.

Reason I say that is because when you connect headphones, it asks if its headphones or speakers. And if you choose headphones, some sounds (ringer etc) come from the phone.

Not sure what happens if you choose speakers. But worth looking at if bluetooth has the same options.

Well I got around to playing with the bluetooth on the phone and it has 4 different blue tooth audio options. Headset, headphones, car kit and audio stand. All of the options give me the same result. Whenever connected I get phone calls and ring tone via blue tooth, key presses from the phone itself and music, video and nav audio is non-existant.

Which is a pain if I want to use nav as I have to disconect from the bluetooth to hear the directions and then re-connect for a phone call.

And I cant see any options in the nav section relating to blue tooth audio.

Thats a glitch then, not a setting problem. Im sad to say that theres a huge list of bugs for the 6110, and nokia looks set in its stance not to give another firmware update.

Are you on 4.22?

Type into your phone:

*#0000#

and say what it says. 4.22 is the latest firmware, and it might just solve your problem if your not on it already.
