Technically, it's officially not official- but you're right to assume it will be before we know it.
Good or bad, with all of the bloggers scouring every byte of data on the FCC site- with the exception of release dates- there's little left to surprise us these days.

Unless Nokia decide out of the blue to convert every single device to touchscreen starting from january the following year, now THAT will be a surprise wouldn't it?
Lol- that would be a surprise indeed- and one that I would be extremely unhappy with.
Though I'm not concerned. It's not going to happen. Not only will the S60 touch device not be ready by then, there will most assuredly ALWAYS be a traditional hardware button device, or rather the bulk of devices will be, tactile response hardware buttoned available from Nokia. It's a cute interface, but it's not the interface that the hardcore mobile community is gonna want to deal with day-in/day-out.

Still hoping the N82 will have a major flaw that makes the N95 a winner!...
Because if you think about it the N82 beats the N95 in every thing except for the smaller screen...and the horrendous looks lol.
Just been told by o2 that i can have the N82 but now i don't know if i want it.
I'm having a play with one in the week so i think i'll make my mind up then.
Yeah- it's a tough call, especially for you having the proper 3G frequencies for the device. The N82 does give up a bit to design, but it's a real solid build. Certainly going to depend on your personal preference as there's not much that separates the two devices.
What's attracting you to the N82 over your N95 right now?
