I'd be tempted to wait until after 3GSM and see what (if anything) is announced there in terms of new Nokia devices. Unless you really really need a better flash, or really really hate sliders, it's had to justify the N82 over the N95

11-14th Feb mate. I'd expect if there were any big announcements, then they will be made then. Purely speculation though.....

This post (from AAS) indicates a potential problem for Garmin MXT users on the N82,

What do you think?

The post is about the N82 not having a pencil key and the effect of this on the operation of this software.

This might also apply to the N82 and other S60 v3 software - do you think? or not relevant? - new thread? Please yourself. Just trying to be helpful to YOU Mr G.

Personally I don't give a toss. I can't see the positive benefits of this over the N95. Wouldn't swap it - NO WAY! (N96 16 GB might be another story!)

Yeah i see your point mate,i wouldn't use Garmin to be honest with you though.

But most apps that make use of the pencil key have other configurations, does Garmin not?

Also,i'm not choosing the N82 over the N95,i'll be using both

Best of both worlds, sounds good to me!

The reason I'm using Garmin is because I've got my Garmin BlueCharts working on the N95 with Mobile XT and I'll use it with my 8" TV/Monitor screen for navigating when I'm racing my boat when the spring is here. I've used Garmin hardware for years, but a proper chart plotter with an 8" screen is serious dosh! N95 to the rescue! I can also use it for Google Earth too so that's a bonus.
