How much memory does the Nokia 5220 support?

I read the specs on the coming Nokia 5220 and it says that the maximum amount of memory it supports is 2 GB. I then read the review on mobile-review which says "The maximum memory card size supported by the device is unlimited – we plugged in our 8 GB unit and experience absolutely no problems with it"

What's the deal on this? Does the 5220 support more than 2 GB or not? Does it work to use larger memory cards on other Nokia phones that are also specified to only support 2 GB memory cards?

I have an N95-1 and Nokia initially said that the max mem card it would support is 2gb. I currently have an 8gb card in it and it works perfectly.

I found the following page which confirms that 8 GB cards indeed work. It puzzles me why Nokia would not confirm this in their sales specs.

I heard somewhere that there was an issue with the firmware not supporting Micro SD HC cards in the earlier days. Dont quote me on that though.
