That's excellent news! I've been waiting for something new to get rolling out of the Video Center application. Sounds like a great start they have going now. Definitely like the CNN addition, I'm assuming it will make it easy to keep up-to-date on the headlines with a video feed.

All the more reason to get myself a US 3G N95 now!

I thought you didn't like the lack of lens cover on the camera

I don't, but the trade off for all that RAM- I'm telling you... it's a done deal. When I was out in LA playing around with the thing, it was amazing how many applications I had running on the device. There's no way I can go on without it now. I'm not thrilled with the lack of a lens cover, but I can deal with it for all the extra RAM- not to mention when 3G service is rolled out in my area. No question- the US variant is for me.

So, will the US version work properly outside of the US? I'm starting to think all that RAM could be put to good use - but will it work in Australia?

It will work with the GSM network- but the 3G chip in the US variant will only work in the US, and only on AT&T's network- no Tmobile, no Europe, Asia or Australia.

The 8gb will though, and has all the extra RAM. It just won't work in the US.

I LOVE the lens cover, it makes it look more like a digital camera and it also protects the lens. I personally wouldnt really exchange my original one for the US version...partly because im over here in the UK lol. But i've heard somewhere that the n95-3 are the new fleet of n95's replacing the current original ones, i doubt that alot though. I will totally forget the nokia n95 8GB one since there are micoSDHC memory cards coming out for us to grab!...woohoo

I agree- you can't sell me on the 8GB device, as it's a limitation for me on several levels. The screen is something to consider though- apart from the fact that it's a bit larger (not really a big deal, as far as I'm concerned) but if you get your hands on one- you'll see that it is now pretty much flush with the rest of the housing with a protective shielding- no more scary soft laptop screen feel to it. I value that a great deal. Also- if you are really using your N95 to it's fullest potential, the increased RAM is a no-brainer and a total must, along with increased battery capacity.

It all depends on your usage of the device though.
