perhaps the best series 40 device to date?

We have had the 6280, 6288, 7390, 6300...e.t.c, Nokia 7390 being the best of all.
However, Nokia have released an amazing handset jam-packed with multimedia features, plus a great camera with carl zeiss and VGA video recording.
The 6500 slide doesn't just perform great, it looks great. With it's brushed metal facade and robust, smooth sliding action. It even feels great in your hand.
This smartphone even though is a series 40 device matches abilities that of the high end nokia smartphones i reckon. A shame it hasn't got HSDPA though, but that tiny flaw shouldn't hold it back from being a great contender to high end devices right now. http://europe.nokia.com/A4423143

My firend bought the classic version. I had a play on it in the pub the other week, quite an impressive phone!

Yeah i agree, the classic version looks great!, i like their updated series 40 interface aswell, especially on the slide version.
I mean in the hand the slide version looks absolutely amazing...i maybe a bit OTT but i reckon Nokia have just made their best looking phone to date!, or maybe its my opinion lol.
And for the screen...excellent.
