    GPS Software for N95

    Hi,

Belive it or not this is my first mobile phone and I am a uber nerd herd comp 32 Year old :-) but can not use a mobile :-)

I have looked on the forum for GPS software options. I know I can have varies options like tomtom, copilot, route66 and some others.

    My question is...

I will be moving to Japan soon from the UK and I will take out a plan in Japan maybe "DoCoMo" not sure yet, but are there any GPS software maps for Japan?

Are there any Japanese users on the boards that can recommend a product and carrier for that matter?

    Regards

If you check the World Maps Database sticky you can see whats available. If Garmin has maps for Japan I'd go with that - brilliant software!

EDIT: Oh, I should mention that Google maps will almost certainly have maps for Japan (no voice guidance though), but you'll need a data connection. MGMaps will also have them, and you can store them to MGMaps for use without a data plan (search around the forums, help regarding stored maps is here somewhere - otherwise geekzone.co.nz has a good post about how to generate them). Not sure about Nav4All and Amaze, both free and require a data connection (I think both have voice guidancem, but you'd need to check), their respective websites will have information on their maps coverage.
