LOL.... Just updated to Map Loader v2 as Bart suggested. Will post back results. :)

EDIT: Finished downloading maps all over again using v2, Still the same problem. Looks like Nokia has to update their maps.

Update

Having been using Nokia Maps 2.0 for a couple of weeks I thought I'd post some more findings.

It has worked pretty well about 95% of the time. It will get me to exactly the address I was looking for instead of me having to search up and down and this is saving me a lot of time in the work I do.

However, there are one or two problems that have come to light. Sometimes the voice guidance and the on screen help doesn't make sense. At one point I was told, "Where possible, turn around and then, where possible, turn around" which I assume would end up with me pointing back the same way I was already going. There have been times when I was told to turn into roads I was not allowed to. I suspect these are just omissions in the map data.

Search could be better, if you get one letter wrong it will not find any results, you must spell the road name exactly for it to work. Postcodes are normaly very accurate but once or twice it has put me in completely the wrong road, possibly due to the GPS tracking not being able to distinguish between two roads close together.

The biggest drawback I have found however, is that there is no way to tell it to take an alternative route if a road, such as a motorway, is blocked. Yesterday coming down the M40 to get to Staines, I knew the M40 was blocked after junction 7 so turned off it, but Nokia Maps insisted on trying to get me back on it again for quite some time. I can't see an easy way to overcome this, certainly not one you can employ while driving. There is a "find alternative route" option but it doesn't work nearly well enough, it will only take you on a slight detour and then back to the original route, not a completely different one.

So, hopefully Nokia will address some of these problems in the next version of Maps.

Well it's been about 2 months now, and it still seems that the bug is there. I'm on V30, updated to latest version of Maps myself, Map loader 2.0.2, and still i have that bug. Any ideas?

This is starting to get annoying!

It's not a Maps bug, clearly there is something wrong with the map data. As you mentioned earlier, Nokia need to update their map data, the application itself is OK.

Well i tried reporting it to Nokia today, and all they said was "as far as we're concerned all our maps are up to date and there have been no reported bugs"..

Dammit I AM REPORTING THE BUG.

I called later, a different person spoke, but still gave a relatively similar answer. I think they're just lazy to file a report.
