hey vinnie glad all is well , only probs i encountered was a big lag when pois were added and a few other members have mentioned a glitch with the routing side of things

when i didnt have poi installed it worked ace though , very smooth , but i didnt have a route planned was just viewing map as i drove

very nice user interface though isnt it and very good updates feature wise ie the google search and panaroma search :-)

The "Show speed limit" thing is cool. There's actually a speed sign that pop up telling you the speed limit of the road you're on. only problems is it's too small.

Mine lags sometimes, which is very annoying.

I'll try it without POI, I forgot I had some in (it retained them even after an uninstall).

Bit of a bug really, but they have the best track record for fixing bugs, so if enough people bring it to attention, it should get sorted.

hi everyone just spoke to garmin on the phone about the lag from poi , they guy emailed support while i was on the phone and got an insatnt reply that they would look into it , sounds promising and they were very very nice i would suggest contacting them via this page

Contact Garmin Support

there you cans elect your region and country then contact them it was a freephone number and was connected to an operator quite quickly as i say he was very friendly and listened to what i said , he also said obvously the more people that report it the more urgent it will become

so please if you have any slow down or lag please contact them they are very good with updates so if there is a need to look at it they will

thanks everyone have a great day

Yeah agree this garmin 5.0 seems much cleaner and slicker, but yeah does have the POI bug, is almost unusable when I have installed the PocketGPS speed cam database .... lets hope they fix it soon.
