still can't load any maps
HI
getting really frustrated here. I have N95 with updated 11.x.x.x firmware, it will NOT load smart2go maps, it will not load map program from nokia's website. I use win vista ultimate. The nokia map loader upon installation just disappears. When following the link to download maps here, quote from your post to download: ---- To download the maps application click here for link (click on maploader program for download) mobilesearch.nokia.com/A4160036?maps (please cut and paste on to your webbrowser directly) ---- it does NOT have n95 listed as available phones. I tried to use 6110 option but I get application error when trying to load the maps. Should I try N93i? I do not have problems locating GPS, it's just quick comparing to some other folks on this forum. My phone 'knows' I'm in SW of the US as it gives me my location but when it zooms - it disappears to blank screen with only a pin (I'm assuminig it's my location) - I get only very low res. map of the US Why oh why is Nokia making everything so difficult is beyond me. I'm soon to compose and juicey email to them about their manual and ideas 'how to' - totally useless, including their website.

Also, from nokia's website nokia maps and maploader does not install. I can see a blink and a dos-like screen, and nothing happens. I have yet to be able to install ANY maps on my N95 (it has current 11.x.x.x firmware)

"To use voices on the maps application please follow this simple guide.."
What does downloading voices in addition to the maps do? Is it used ONLY for the paid additional navigation services or does it serve a purpose without that too? |
