I know using Assisted GPS costs money, but what about network-based GPS?

If you're talking about stuff like google maps, then it would cost whatever your network charges you for your data plan. What network-based GPS are you talking about?

I have the 8gb and the menu access doesn't appear to be the same as you said. So my phone might be different. When I Enable the network 'when needed' it appears to use my data plan.
