These are the instructions on the website and are completely confusing. How can you make a memorable username and password out of a 15 digit number?

So I created an account with a memorable name and password. Then in the admin section put my IEMI number in the device identifier.

Even though I can log in, the tracking doesn't work and the phone seems to be continually sending data, not at the one minute intervals I specified.

Any clues?

So...to summarise, this must be the ultimate 'track your wife' tool.

Whats the reality of running it? Does the phone need to be open to get the GPS to work or
is it completely passive, and is it an invisilble running application (ie, a background app?)

you can have it as a background app and depending on where the phone is will determine how good of a gps signal you get (i.e. in the bottom of a typical woman's purse I'm suprised they get cell signal let alone GPS signal.) however once you take it out to make a call or something the gps should kick back in.

That being said off topic if you don't trust your wife don't stay with her it will never work in the end

Does this program have free voice navigation (free of charge) or will you have to pay like the nokia map loader?

This app doesn't navigate at all, it just "records" where you have been while the app is running and have a gps signal, then you upload the recorded data from your phone to the developer site. Finally you use your pc to connect to the same site and see witch route your phone took.

This is great for parents who are concerned about their kids. Where they are heading with the family car, are they really studying in school, etc. For sure, there will be a market for this as GPS phones get more popular

pat: that is true and some will use it for no good but it definitely has its uses.

Caitho: there's also a LIVE update setting which will track it every couple seconds up to a 1 minute interval which works nice and like Pat said you want to keep an eye on someone.

Reminds me of the one movie (man I can't remember the name) where the guy gets a phone from the bad guy and when they meet up he downloads the GPS route from the phone but the government already fooled it. The bad guy would have been a lot better off if he had live tracking. I just started drinking my coffee so really can't think of what movie that was

Wont having the GPS transmit every minute kill the battery life though?

Surely, every 10 or 20mins would be preferable?

the GPS isn't doing the transmitting the phone is. The GPS is recieving the signal constantly fromt he sats. The transmission is tiny and I drove an hour and a half with it running and noticed no drop in battery at all. the transmission every minute is rather tiny too
