    iBT-GPS Bluetooth GPS receiver ... Help !!

    Hi All
    New to forum ( Great ! ) & newish to N95 ( even greater ! LOL! )

Just purchased a separate GPS receiver for the N95..... called iBT-GPS Blue tooth GPS receiver .... 51 channel.

Charged it fully, paired it with the N95 via blue tooth ( said it had paired Ok & is seen in current paired items ... has a rectangular box with a squiggle in it!) but despite many attempts can only get he item to stay in stand-by mode ( blue light flashing every 4 or 5 seconds on GPS module )

Instructions that came with it are very vague & mainly to set up a PDA via Windows.

Advert clearly says it will work with all phones via symbian or windows mobile operating systems.

HELP .... Please .... what am I doing wrong & do I need to do anything to either N95 or GPS to get the darn thing to work !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks all
    Mark from Hereford, UK

Thanks Panther .... found out now how to get it to work !!

For those interested : Pair's up easily but once paired did not appear to want to use the blue tooth GPS....

Fiddled around & found a setting in one of the pages ( still trying to find which one as I came across it accidentally ) on this page it had 3 settings, you needed to put a tick next to the ones you wanted to use. 2 were ticked ( use internal GPS & another ... can't recall what it said ) but most importantly the top one said Use Blue tooth GPS .... I ticked this one & hey presto ... all works.

Went out for a drive & it is perfect .... the way to go for the N95 ... all for £30 inc P&P .... works 100% better & miles quicker at cold start on the satellites ( around 7 seconds compared to 2 mins with internal GPS )

One big happy puppy now ......

    N.B Settings are: Menu/Tools/Settings/General/Positioning/Positioning methods/
