Cant sync my N95 8g to my computer???
it wont work i can do it like a flashdrive or something but wont sync with the nokia programs that came on the dvd ne ideas why???

Go to Nokia.com and download the latest version of PC Suite rather than using the one that came on the disk.
Report back after doing that if you have any more problems, and give a bit more info as to what exatly is happening.

i never use the cd's...but does it look for updates online automatically when using the cd?

Ok so i just downloaded ll the stuff from the website an it still wont recognize my phone through the nokia programs, i can add music to the phone an pics, but its like using a portable harddrive, i am using a Nokia N95-2 8 gig, i live in the states i have att and all that works fine, i can browse the web on the phone make calls, txt messages, i just cant upgrade the software or anything. i bought the phone from some guy on caigs list i got the box and everything but the imei on the box an the phone dont match, so i mean thats kinda weird right there. the phone seems to be runnng slow compared to some other N95s ive seen, and so is there a way to restore the phone to factory setting so i can start fresh. i know there is a restore option but i dont know the password. is it a universal thing or do each phone have its own? ok one more thing ive never seen an N95 synced to a computer so when i plug mine in it pops up with 3 options mass storage, web cam, com port. the webcam works fine, the mass storage open up a window to browse the folders and the com port does something then searches for a driver an cant find one an then does nothing. help.

on pc suite go to help - reinstall pc suite support on your phone.

double click the nokia pc suite icon in your system tray, you should see the Nokia PC Suite box pop up. there you'll see File Web Settings Help
