Take what you need from your extra memory, format the memory drive & hard-reset the phone.

Is this 'QIX' part of the vodaphone set-up originally and did you update the firmware to a Vodafone version?

Ideally, you should update the firmware with the extra memory formatted and blank. After the update, restore ONLY the contacts and nothing else, then rebuild the phone from scratch, as though it were new out of the box. Restoring a full back-up has been known to cause similar problems.

Doing a hard-reset, with formatted extra memory and not doing a full restore may cure it. If not, then it may need to be re-flashed (by you).

New registration code

Hi,

I am responsible for this software in Europe for the developer of this application, Zi Corporation. The reason your device is now asking for a code is that the application itself, Vodafone Search, was installed after the phone was built, not at the factory. Therefore if you flash or update the phone, the code disappears.

If you email me with your IMEI code, I can generate a new code for you.

Kind regards, Neil

<<Thanks, that's useful to know for future reference. :)>>
