text messages

hi all.

i hope someone can help me with my problem.

my N95 8GB on O2 network will no longer send sms messages.
it will send mms and can receive both mms and sms text messages.
i can take the sim card out and use it in another phone and the sms
works fine.

i have only had this phone for 6 weeks and the O2 shop told me that they cannot replace
it because i have had it for more than 28 days and the only thing they can do is send it off for repair.

after reading some of the threads on this board i do not really want to send it off
in case i dont get my original phone back just some reconditioned old one.

any ideas would be most appreciated.

is your messages center number right?? did O2 troubleshoot the problem wid u??

i have tried changing from dual mode to gsm and it didnt work.
i have now restored factory conditions *#7370# and it has wiped everything
off the phone but it has worked.. yippee.
thanks for this forum and lets hope my phone stays working.
