Issues after Upgrade - Unable to complete installation from Mass Memory

Hi, I have a brand new N95 8GB which I un-branded and upgraded recently using NSU.

As it was a brand new phone and I had all my contacts on the SIM I did not bother with a back-up of the phone before the upgrade. I did have a couple of applictions installed but did not mind losing them.

After the update I simply copied the SIM contacts to the phone and started using the phone. The phone is working OK, but does something funny every time I restart it.

It tries to install an application and then it gives a message "Unable to complete installation from mass memory. To install remaining applications please go to Application Manager".

Now I have checked application manager and it has all my current applications as "Installed". A few applications that I had before the upgrade are missing but are not visible in application manager.

    Please help.

    Have you seen this?

Alternatively, a few others had this problem including myself. I can't find his post but somewhere in the v21 firmware thread, someone fixed this problem and it worked for me.
CAUTION This method may remove some wanted applications but it seemed to work well for a few of us.

When you go into the application manager do you see some (in my case several) applications that have no name and some random 6-8 digit number? Try simply deleting these. It seems after F/W upgrade, some applications are converted into these numbers and the phone wants to keep installing them. After I deleted all of these, the phone worked like a charm. The one's on the memory card will have a little icon on the right that looks like a memory card.

Hi, thanks a lot for your suggestions reg the above 3 threads, I thought that as I had a N95 8GB the directories and folders will be different, but besides a different drive letter, everything was the same.
I managed to uninstall the stuck application (Opera Mini & a theme by Babinokia) they were not appearing in the application manager, so I had to search thru all the other folders to see where all they had been installed and have now removed them all.
