People cant hear me talk. Reboot fixes it.

Quite a few times now I've made a call only to find out the person on the other end of the line cant hear me. A reboot of the phone seem to cure this. This happened to anyone else?

Pity I cant solve my earpiece distortion problem with a reboot

EDIT: To add some more info, this generally seems to happen after leaving the phone on for a couple of days or more. Its happened to me twice this week, after having the phone on all the time.

Yea, I think this happened to me. I'd put it down to running a 'VOIP' preogram but maybe it's not that. I guess we just have to monitor this and hope that it's fixed in a firmware upgrade some time in the future

Yup, happened to me a couple of times, too, during my first two days. That's why i'm not letting go of my N73 just yet, lol! Just like you guys, i just rebooted.

Anyway, it hasn't happened again and i hope it won't (crosses fingers).

Well, considering its not a hardware issue its clearly a software one, so lets hope there is a firmware release soon. Especially since most of the time you only realise after making a call and finding out its not working, which means reboot, then dial again = wasted money... Grrr.

I've noticed the same problem. However, I also used to get the same thing happening on my N73, even with a firmware update. Hope it'll get sorted out soon.

I've noticed the no sound going through microphone bit as well - happens only sometimes. If I activate the loudspeaker, it then works. Strange.

The good news is, it's 99% a software issue, and therefore can be easily fixed with firmware update.

One thing, if we are all running the same software then technically it should happen to everyone? Well, at least the people who don't tend to switch their phones off overnight..

I'm getting this happen every 2 or 3 days, pretty embarassing when you've been showing off your fancy new N95 but it struggles with a simple phone call. Hopefully a firmware update will correct this.

Yes, that seems to be the exact scenario and of course symptom. I've been checking the Nokia site regularly for updates but I wouldnt be at all surprised if we dont see an update for a good month or so.

That's something I havent tried yet. Thanks for posting the info! I dont have a 3G plan anyway so I guess there is no reason for me to run in UMTS mode anywayz..

Someone posted a solution earlier -- press "speakerphone", then press the same right select key to go back to handset. It happened to me this afternoon, and i had no problems hearing the caller after the procedure.

it seems a SIM problem. I put the headset in UMTS mode and in 48 hours i have not had any problems. While in gsm mode or dual you have this problem.

    I also have this problem.
Yeah I noticed that switching to speakerphone then back fixes it as well. But then.. around 2 days later.. Bam it's back again.

    Hope it gets fixes soon.

    Regards,
    Simon

    Use loudspeaker

I have the same problem. I just switch to loudspeaker and back to handset and it seems to fix it.
