    Keypad replacement

    Hi folks,
After a pint or two, I happened to trip while holding my N95 8gb. I thought it was OK but after a closer inspection - I must have knocked the bottom right hand corner of the phone.

This has slightly damaged the keypad - the lights are much dimmer and sometimes I have to really press the 9 and # keys for it to work.

Can I just replace this part?

    Cheers

    Alun

Yes, its quite simple. Checkout the tips tab at the top of the page, or the link in my sig, there are Nokia videos, which show how to take an N95 apart, and the key pad is quite easy.

To find your Nokia Firmware version, key *#0000#. The V##.#.### shown is your current Firmware! Please add these details with Nokia model to your profile. This information will help others help you. Thank you.!

the problem is that if the keys are not lighting or pressing properly then it is very unlikely to be the keymat itself.
More than likely the ui board

Ah, so is that different from the actual keypad itself. Hmm, can I purchase this item on its own?
