Beeping+cannot use keys

Hiya guys and gals,

I got a pretty unique problem with my n95 8gb. Since two days my phone has been making constant beeping sounds. Its the same beep of the key tones, but theres no way to stop it unless I keep pressing the camera or multimedia buttons. On top of that, the music player keeps rapidly scrolling through all the songs in the directory, and I can see the activity on my standby screen. No matter what button you press, it reverts back to this constant loop of beeps and song info
I tried a hard reset and I got as far as the lock code screen somehow (If I keep pressing the camera key and press the keys, they come up on the phone; if I dont have the camera key pressed, I cant navigate any of the screens of my phone), but lo behold, with the camera key pressed, the key '1' doesnt work so I cant enter 12345 :(
I'm at my wits end at the moment as I love the phone. I got it second hand over eBay unlocked and it was working fanstastic for 2 months. Its upgraded to the latest firmware aswell. It doesnt respond when hooked up to the computer either.

Any insight into this matter would be more than helpful

I'd take it to a service centre mate, they can then flash it and if the problems still persists then i'm sure they will take it in for a service.

Cheers for that. There is a serice centre near my house so I might do that. I thought there might be another way of hard reseting the unit other than using codes.

Another way to format some symbian phones: Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation.

Hmm, that did something. It seemed to be a soft reset though, as all the music is still on the phone and is still scrolling...wierd...

*#7370# .......... Format phone...[Hard-Reset]
*#7780# .......... Factory Reset
Note:
Format phone restores phone to as if it was out of the box. Retains firmware version and operator Variant changes but wipes all applications you have installed. Does not format the memory card so any apps on there may reinstall once powered back up again.

Factory Reset resets all settings to defaults but keeps any applications you have installed and photos etc. Both need the Security code, which, by default, is 12345.

Still looks like service centre for you though.

Ok, here's an update. I was away on hols for a while, and I left my Nokia back home. Now when I got back, I turned it on, and get this, the beeping has magically gone. I hooked it up to the pc, and all seems fine. The only problem is that everytime I turn it on, or i d/c from the pc, it tries to install some app, and then fails. I looked through the app manager, and found some progs that could be it, but I cant seems to remove it. I looked around the forum, and some one mentioned that it could be a theme. There is a 3rd party theme on my phone, but I can't seem to remove it either. How does one go about locating it through the computer? I couldn't find the apps whilst the phone was connected to the pc.

Sounds like you may just need to format your memory(mass storage)

Hmm, I checked the sticky on how to format the mass memory, and remove all those stuck apps aswell. Right, I did that, and now this morning, its acting up again :/ There's no app trying to install itself, but it's going back to its stuck keys, and scrolling craziness. Is there anyway of formatting the system memory aswell?
