Scratched off keypad

Am a bit disappointed that my 4 month old N95 has already worn off its
keypad silvering with less than 1000 texts under its belt. Having had a
Nokia 6630 for best part of three years with almost 45k of texts from it
with no ill effects, I'm thinking about getting the keypad replaced.

Not fancying it myself, wondered if anyones had it replaced officially and
has an idea of the costs involved?

No idea where you can get replacements from but i've had mine longer than 4 months and I write up at least 100 e-mails a day, not to mention web browsing or texting, and my keys are still in mint condition - quite shocked to hear that yours have gone - bad news my friend. =(

Do you have acidic fingers or something? I'm sure you can get a replacement keypad from somewhere.

I've got an N95-1...

I was told by o2 and CW repairs that the keypad isn't covered. I argued the point that after such a short period, that its unacceptable quality, but wouldn't have it...

Cheesed off to say the least...

Just for the sake of statistics; Also my N95-1 lost much of its silver coating already after some 6-8 months. Especially keypad (not numeric), navigator and right side, also volume button and camera button. My N95 always rests alone in my shirt pocket, a few sms a day.
A guy at Nokia Customer service revealed they had problems with the first batche(es).

I too am having issues but only with the front buttons nad it's probably because they're just painted chrome and I long fingernails sometimes so I tend to scratch my phone's keys as well.

Anyone know of any good places over here in the good ol US to get spare parts? It's my birthday tuesday so want to treat myself to a new case, keys and do the red light fix all at once.
