Simcard compatibility issues?? N95-2

Hi there,
I've just recieved my unlocked N95-2 today and I've found some issues with the phone already :/. It doesnt allow me to send text messages (haven't tried calling someone yet) and it won't let me connect to the internet via Three mobile, sometimes it'll connect to a website and sometimes it won't, but I cant get it to connect to the access point, it just says 'no gateway reply'.
I think the phone was originally a sim-free O2 phone.
My step-dad reckons that the phone isn't compatible with the simcard.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix these problems or should I return the phone?

Run the Settings Wizard (Menu > Tools > Utilities > Sett. Wizard) and try again.

How old is your simcard?

we have had a few problems with 3 doing this . usually a new sim card fixes the issues which they should give you for free

It's ok now I've fixed the problem, I just had to put the 3 settings into the internet setting on my phone, somehow that fixed the messaging problem aswell lol.

A particular sim not working in my N82 for sending text messages.

Normally if u send there is a not available sign over your GPRS\EDGE sign while the sms is being sent! so no prob with the network or sim but actually the phone is not trying to send as there is no send\recieve from phone!

P.S. I can recieve msgs perfectly!

the msg center is correct! ive reinstalled the Firmware (v30) and also tried resting phone! but is of no use!

Do you have the 3 settings on your phone firecruz?

If not you would be best phoning 3 and getting them to text you the settings.

I have been working in an telecom operator and i know every operator settings of my sim!

ive tried using it in another phone Nokia1100 :) it works fine!
I was perfectly using the phone ... quite a SMS freak as i have a unlimited package
but while sending few successful messages the problem began! so there were no change of settings or anything like that! I have even checked all settings at operator side then i tried another sim in phone and it was also not sending messages! so the problem was in phone! i tried every possible way of restting,formating and but the SMS prob is still there! and i have no prob using my internet via EDGE or WIFI!

PLEEEEEEEEEEEZ HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

help me undoing my phone to 0! else i have to send it to nokia people which will take a month or so :(!
