Poll Re-Firmware Updating N95 RM159

Their have been (Including Myself) big issues with upgrading firmware on the N95-1. Mainly upgrading to;

Firmware 30.0.15 15/07/08 (01.01)

What I would like to see is just how many of you out there in N95 Land have actually had a completely error free firmware upgrade. The poll variants are as follows

1) N95 to Version 30.0.15 Complete 100% upgrade, No Issues at all.

2) N95 to Version 30.0.15 Partial Camera Fail (Screen Auto rotate goes into reboot cycle when landscape is activated) Still useable as a phone!

3) N95 to Version 30.0.15 Any other issues after upgrade.

4) N95 to Version 30.0.15 Completely Bricked.

Could you also include your Carriers network as well to see if it is network restrictions related? I.E Orange, T-Mobile Etc........

Iam not sure if this is how toset up a poll, if it is not I apologise now in advance.

Rgds;

Speedway.

No problems 20-to-30 (Globul carrier, Bulgaria). I had problems with earlier updates, though. My opinion - the key is : DO NOT restore phone backups after upgrade. What I do is - full (the 3 keys) reset, update, restore contacts and calendar entries with Nokia Communication center. The apps and settings - re-install and re-setup from scratch, by hand.

I guess I'm just lucky. My N95-1 was locked and to and Vodafone branded. I debranded using NSS to change its product code, updated from V12 to V20 to V21 and then to V30 as soon as they they all came out for the EURO1 product code. I unlocked my phone for free around four months ago using the code I got direct from Vodafone. I have never had an issue updating at all. I've also updated five N95-2s for family and friends four of which I had to change their product codes via NSS as well to debrand them. Two were on Orange, Two were Vodafone and the other was on O2 (but an original generic EURO product code and sold SIM free.) All the updates have made my N95 better each time and I have no qualms whatsoever about updating. I believe it is regarded as common knowledge here at N95 Users that debranding is not the same as unlocking and that a locked (to a certian network) phone can be as easily debranded and updated as an unlocked (SIM free) one using NSS to alter its product code first.

gnjuss, you do have an issue according to your post, but you haven't posted in the poll re your issue, why not? if you update and then cannot get themes on your phone then you do not have a 100% upgrade, do you?

I have 2 N95's. I updated only one from v20 to v30. The one I updated now has wifi problems. The problems I am experiencing are networks not been found, wpa key been wrong, timeouts. I expect the occassional hicup but after the update its a regular thing.

I have tried hard resets, reinstalling the firmware etc but still have problems. I regret upgrading...
