Big Problems, No Backlight

Hiya All, i posted this ales where on the forum but didn't attract much feedback ! so having another go. ....

I opened my phone and the backlight didn't come on. this had never been any problem before........
the phone works faultless, key board lights all work and camera and so on. had some advice to renew the LCD screen, did this with a genuine Nokia LCD screen, this made no deference.

I have now replaced the Ribbon Flex and PCB keyboard, this also is a genuine Nokia part. but still theres no Backlight on the screen! so i now need more help, I can't really afford to keep buying parts.... so has anyone got any sound advice please...

What part number is the LCD you removed, and is your replacement LCD the same part number?

go to your local NSC mate , it sounds like your board has a problem , possibly just a blown micro filter

Well i seem to be knacked.... I can't get it done with warranty, I can't Re-brand the phone as they know it's been de-branded, they even know the date it was done. when he put the Serial number in the phones complete life came up on the screen. ..

now I've replaced the screen and flex/keyboard with no luck, I'm wondering what makes the screen come on, there must be some sort of sensor within the slider, but can't see anything that would do or looks like one. there's certainly no switch mechanism under the slider.... Or is there.....!

Best thing you can do mate is send it into a phone specialist who'll repair it for cash.

It'll save you time on trying locate the fault, but might cost you a bit more.

Drop me a pm if you want me to fix it for you. See if you can find someone more local first of course.

You didn't mention the part numbers of the lcd's.
