A week and its broke!

Well this is good going, Ive had mine for a week and monday it made a beeping noise while in my pocket, so got it out to have a look, and the phone was locked and had the screen saver on, I then pushed the buttons to unlock it and the screen went dead and the phone wouldnt turn back on, I thought that the battery must of went flat which I thought was unsual as I had charged it up the day before and hadnt really used the phone since and it usually lasts a few days with use. Well I plugged in the charger but nothing came up on the screen saying its been charged up and the phone was left charging all day but still wont turn on, I have a work collegue who has a n73 and tried his charger on my phone but still didnt work and tried my charger on his phone and it did work, I tested the battery with a multimeter and it wasnt displaying any voltage whatsoever!

Well I do hope the n82 isnt a lemon cos I got it on a 18 month contract!!!!!

But if the phone is only a week old then i would take it back a demand a new phone, unfortunalty in such a mass produced there will always be the odd one or two that slip threw the qaulity testing net. but honestly take the phone back and demand a new one.

try holding the * , 3 and the green call button while turning on your phone. This will do a hard reset , and wipe your phone back to factory settings. I agree with Damo though, since its pretty new, the best thing to do would be to take it back, and pitch a fit till they give you a new one, :P
