Nokia N82 camera switch not activating camera

I just switched to black housing and now the 5mp camera isnt activating when I slide the lens cover. How do I fix this or how do I activate it without the lens switch? Has anyone on here changed their n81 housing before? if so can you help me? send a pm or reply here. I really dont want a broken n82

I would say to take it to a Nokia Service Center but i'm not sure they will fix it as you have now voided the warranty by doing what you did.

Sounds to me like you have a crappy after market housing that isn't up to scratch.

For those who are wondering, i had the same issue with the black housing. What i did was keep the old camera cover with the old switch. It has some circuit inside.
