Switching off randomly...

I have just recieved a N95 as a replacement for my numerous SE's that have been nothing but trouble...

But just as I thought everything would be ok...

This one starts playing up....

It seems to turn itself of whenever it likes....

Its not the battery as it was charged up fully and then 2 hours later took to switching off again...

Sometimes it does it when theres an incoming call too....

I try to answer it and the screen goes dark and black....

anyone offer a ray of hope?

Cheers in advance

Kim

Key in *#0000# and add the handset model and firmware version to your profile.

How old is your phone ? Did you get it new or used ?

my N95-3 keeps turning off also!!!

Mine has been doing the same thing practically since I bought it brand new in April 08. The phone turns itself off every other day at random times, but mostly in the evening or middle of the night. I tried a hard reset on it a few times, and I've sent it in twice to the Nokia Service Center (at my own cost of course) and they've updated firmware and reported it back to me as nothing wrong with it.
I love my phone so much but am at my wits end as I'm missing calls constantly (I live in a 24/7 town). I've scoured these forums and haven't found an answer, does anyone out there have any idea on how to fix this once and for all? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Are you using the standard battery that came with your N95?

I was initially using the standard battery which came with the phone, and after about 6 months I bought a backup battery from the Nokia Flagship store in Chicago. Thinking it was a battery glitch I started using the newer one, but still had the same problem. Thank you for responding so quickly btw!!!
