Lot of people have viewed this with little response...
Anyway, have you tried the stock standard *#7370# and seen if it helps? Failing all kinds of 'resets', have you tried reinstalling the v11 firmware? NSU will let you 'reinstall' it. Might be worth a shot. The thing that worries me is that I think it could be faulty pages in your ROM. But even then, a re-flash might revive those sectors. Let us know how you go mate

i ended up just restoring from an old backup from before the problem popped up. that solved it.. but it sort of sucked because i had to manually back up all my contacts, pictures, etc, since they were not part of the backup i had performed over a month ago.
pretty much a detour around the problem, rather than figuring out what it really is, so that it can be fixed/avoided in the future.. which is a little troublesome. hopefully somebody figures it out. i don't know if there's any correlation, but it right after i installed fring that the problem arose. i re-installed fring after doing the backup, and no such problem yet... so who knows. |

Using *#7370# (hard-resetting the phone) will restore it back to factory condition... as it was when u first opened the box... ALL your data in the phone is wiped and everything is set to default values.

Thanks, looks like backing up is the way to go then.
