does not turn on or charge at all

This happened three times and the last time has lasted so far for 4 days and I have lost hope that it will come back again. All of a sudden the phone went off (fainted) and did not turn on. The first two time the phone came on itself after few hours and worked for few days while I put that in charger again. The last time it does not turn on or charge at all and the computer USB does not detect it either its totally dead! I have lost a lot of nice pictures in it too. can anyone help?

1. Check for water damage (white label under the battery)
2. Try the charger on a different phone.
3. Try a different battery in the phone.

I have this problem, it happened about 3 hours ago and its not come back on, it has got on the screen NOKIA as if ive just turned it on, but nothing else happens. can someone help please.

Hello everyone,
i also have the same problem
my phone flashed battery low and fainted (not battery empty)
i have tried all these options that IJM mentioned:
1. Check for water damage (white label under the battery)
2. Try the charger on a different phone.
3. Try a different battery in the phone.
But still no luck any information would help

For the record, emzy, above, is my sister. I now have her phone here, and confirm, an firmware upgrade (lost connection during the process) has indeed bricked her N95, and in need of a dead flashing.

Have you tried the *, 3, Green Call Key, and Power button method?

Sounds like it may need dead flashing then, the same that my sisters N95 needs.

I know, but no longer have mine, sold it due to my PKey expiring. May reinvest in something along the lines of though for future repairs.

I have had this problem on 2 separate N95s now. The first was a N95 US version. It was within the first month and it happened when I was trying to instal updates (yes, with a full bat.). I was able to send it back to CompUSA for a replacement. They didn't have the replacement in stock so I ponied up the extra cash and upgraded to the N95-4. After 3 months same problem. It happened in the Ukraine and I needed my phone to work now so I took it to 3 different repair guys and none of them could fix it. These guys are all pros with a lot of experience re-flashing phones, they have to be as many phones brought into Ukraine don't have Russian/Ukrainian language installed.

This last one was still covered by Nokia and I shipped it to them. They had it 1 day and sent me a replacement phone, no charge. I'm not sure what to assume with the quick decision other than maybe this is a reocurring problem (and that they didn't discover that I had unauthorized repair attempts on the phone).

Hello every one. ive fixed my nokia N95
i opened the phone up. One of the battery terminals (+) had came of the circuit board so i soldered it back on and no probs. works fine

I am experiancing the exact same problem. I have tried all of the above and still no luck.
What does dead flashing mean because I thonk that mine is the same as your sisters, Micky.

My Nokia 7650 phone has the same problem: when I switch on the NOKIA logo appears and then few seconds later the phone swith off without any request of PIN code.
I too have tried the: *, 3, Green Call Key, and Power button with no result.

By the way I had the same problem with my new N95 8gb but with this phone the *, 3, Green Call Key, and Power button works (but then all my data gone).

Any idea for the 7650? All my data are still on it and I need them a lot.
