This refers to the system memory, not storage.
You can try restarting your device to free up some memory.

yeah, what pseudo said..
you say 'one particular' clip... is this a long clip by any chance? as obvisouly the longer it is and larger the file size, the more memory it will take to run it..
if you hold the menu key down, you will see a list of any apps that are still open, you can close these with the 'c' key and that will free up some memory.
on a similar note, i noticed when i was recording some videos, if they were quite long, if i tried to playback straight away with the recorder still open, i would get this message... poor planning by nokia i think

In my ignorance i thought that having a big ol memory card would eliminate this problem!! So when i am watching vids which memory is being used?
Thanks

The phone RAM is doing all the leg work of playing the file.

So is it best to keep the phone memory as empty as poss?

No because it's not the phone storage memory it's the RAM, to keep that as empty as possible run as few applications as possible.
I sometimes get not enough memory when moving from one application to another and retrying works. I'm guessing it takes a short time to free the RAM for other applications to use.

I have no other application running, and yet have "Memory full" error in Help. This is when I try to "Search by keyword".
Do others have the same problem with "Help" (in Menu>Applications)?
Edit: When I remove the memory card, there is no problem with "Memory full" errors in Menu>Applications>Help. The problem exists only with the memory card in place. This is regardless whether it is the original Nokia 1GB card, or the Scandisk 2GB card that I currently use.

If I am not mistaken the phone memory IS the RAM.

You would be better served Adisak Wongkajornsilp if you were to put your phone make and model number in your post
Just type in *#0000# on your key pad.

You are mistaken.
The phone has RAM and long term storage onboard.

yea, RAM and phone memory are 2 different things. RAM is required for system usage, while the phone memory is used for storage.
but both of them are referred to as memory in general. that's where the confusion comes in.
