Cannot set custom ringtones and sms tone!
Hi, im facing a problem on my N95 8GB. i cannot set custom ringtone nor sms tone through the profiles, i can only see download sounds, off and nokia's default ringtones and not my mp3.
My firmware is as follows; V30.0.018 Application installed are; Y-Browser V0.88 X-plore V1.22 Hello Carbide CapsOff CapsOn Last edited by ezhub; 03-29-2009 at 09:16 AM.

hello ezhub and welcome to the forum.
my first suggestion would be to use the forum search function. with over 31,000 members, you will probably find that you are not the first person to have this problem. here's a place to start: Assign ringtone?

ezhub I have the same problem, surely deleting mp3's isn't the solution?

No it's not, i just re-boot my handset, that usually fixes it for me.

Having never had an N95 - 2 I'm not sure you can do this but it works in an N95 - 1. Cut or copy the files you want to use from mass memory (E:) and paste them into the data/ sounds/digital folder in phones memory (C:), connect phone to PC via 'data transfer' & then the phone will display the contents of C: data/sounds/digital only when you want to assign them. Exit data transfer mode, job done.
